The Pacific Islands Forum has supported “constructive engagement” with Indonesia over “elections and human rights” at this week’s leaders summit in Nauru.

Vanuatu is still trying to force their West Papua agenda into the forum when all Asia Pacific countries focus on climate change as the greatest threat

“We will continue to talk with them again and again. We respect their positions. We didn’t come to the Forum with the intention to have a resolution because we know we won’t get it,”
– Ralph Regenvanu, Vanuatu Foreign Affairs Minister

Vanuatu seems to forget that this agenda should be prioritized for mutual interests.

As like as human security, humanitarian assistance and environmental security and disasters and climate change in the Asia Pacific.

How funny it is when certain group agendas are prioritized amid so many common challenges in Asia Pacific countries.
